Why did I first get into web development? I liked the idea of being open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The first websites I created were on personal hobbies such as video games and computers. Motivation to develop these stemmed from my desire to share knowledge with others having similar interests. Initially, there was no thought of profiting from these informative portals. It was difficult enough trying to get a counter from Digits working let alone manage advertising space.
